TME OUT (Which should read "TIME OUT")

You know it's bad when you've been forced to place a time out corner on your blog due to comments placed by bloggers with no self control.

I have never been one to carry tales or to purposefully embarrass anyone, but one particular blogger who shall remain nameless (but her name rhymes with "fatfish") has pushed me to the limit.

Last week on my SILLY SATURDAY PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST she left a HINT of the comment she was really wanting to leave, enticing poor innocent Helen to google some smutty reference she had made. Then Helen tried to warn me but because she said, "WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GOOGLE THE REFERENCE", I, of course, googled it. I had too. The curiosity go the best of me.

My innocence was robbed on that blustery Saturday morning. I will never be the same!

So, I thought it might be a good idea to incorporate this icon on our sidebar here, or feel to place it on your site if "fatfish" is a regular commenter.

In all fairness to "fatfish", there have been other commenters on this site that may wind up in the corner as well.

I know it's not a cure all, but short of a citizen's arrest, I'm not certain what else to do.

I'm open to suggestions.

In the meantime, stop by for today's edition of SILLY SATURDAY'S PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST!
But remember to behave yourself.

You know the funniest thing? That "rhymes with fatfish" is the administrator of this blog and she can edit posts and even revoke publishing rights.

mwhahaha! Off to write a smutty comment!

IN ALL FAIRNESS, FATFISH, was on her very best behavior DURING LOVE WEEK on my site- except at the end when she CYBER FARTED!

I let it go though because I realized she had been holding back all week and she probably needed to cut loose a bit.

I love you fatfish! cyber farts, gergil remarks and all!

Yeah, I said gergil. I meant gerbil.
If there was a typo timeout, I would never be free again!

I'm so impressed by the mensa that abounds in this group. Perhaps it was tired eyes, trifocals, or a small computer screen, but I saw the Silly Saturday photo contest last week and thought it was a mouse looking up at a milkweed and thought "what in the world could be funny about that????"

I need coffee, apparently. Have never had a cup in my life, but it appears to be the brain fuel around here.

candace,

Don't feel like you need coffee. Right now only drink a couple of cups a month. When it warms up I won't be drinking any.

sherri,
gergil sounds funnier. Like a genetically altered gerbil that lives underwater.

Nick- yeah, that's what I meant. It wasn't a typo. I take that back!

(If you googled and read what she was referring to, I would say it has now been genetically altered!)

DON'T DO IT! TRUST ME AND HELEN!

You have never had a cup of coffee EVER, Candy?? I'm having a hard time getting past that, gergils or no gergils.

Candy said...

Never, ever. Sad, huh? I'm WAY out of the realm of normalcy.

Sherri Murphy said...

Candy- I don't think I can fully trust someone that has never had a cup of Joe.

It's Un-American!

Are you a true "SLEEPER"?

Beth said...

Um, I'm not sure any of us qualify for the "realm of normalcy," so I think you're in good company!

No coffee? NO COFFEE???? I'm still recovering from my inadvertent decaf incident!

I still can't keep up with the conversations you guys are having this week.

I think I need to curl up on the couch with a Snuggie. Or two. Anyone know where I can get one?

How early do you people get up on a Saturday morning. I just finished making Valentine's breakfast, eating it with my family, and cleaning up, and only now have had a chance to get here. How long do you people sleep. Do you drink coffee in leiu of sleep? Because if I don't get six hours, I get cranky....

Nick the Geek said...

I didn't wake up till 9am but we are East coast so it might seem much earlier to anyone further west. My kids wake up at 7-7:30 pretty much every day so I only sleep in if my wife is kind enough to get up with kids like she did today.

I was gonna invite the girls to a slumber party (sorry, my ailing momma lives with us, and she still says no boys, except, of course, Bob, and that is only because it is actually his house...) but I don't know if I can keep up with you girls up at 3 in the morning and such. I may fall asleep while painting someone's toe nails.

Sherri Murphy said...

Helen- DON'T FALL ASLEEP FIRST or Katdish will freeze your bra!

I promise I'll try to sleep in.
No one wants to hear me clickin' around in my heels at 3 am!

katdish said...

I would NOT freeze Helen's bra...that's novice level stuff. I would make her a unibrow and a soul patch with a sharpie marker.

You guys are way too chatty. I either need to start drinking coffee or find out what medications you're on.
