There are two kinds of people are prominent in the world; those who stand for something they believe in, and those who are weird and want attention.
People who hold out and separate themselves from the pack due to an undeniable belief in some principle will find themselves alone at times. They may or may not find some like-minded compatriot by their side, but if they do, everyone else had better watch out, because according to this short little gem of a video, a movement is about to begin.
Then there are those who are complete weirdos. These types are thinking (or not) on their own "plane of existence" and flail and hop around then call it dancing. If these people get their first follower, you can expect trends and terrible clothing lines to follow, maybe even a cult. If it becomes a movement, then you can anticipate a kool-aid craze and casualties to follow.
If you're a leader, which kind are you?

I know I'm weird, so I think I might be in the middle somewhere. I dance but I have principle. Just so you all know. :)
Hey, it's not flailing and hopping. I'm doing interpretive dance. Right now I'm interpreting being attacked by bees.
I think I'm beginning to understand why my Supermarket Salsa Dancing never gained followers.... Thanks Jake.
I think there was someone was passing out the bad mushrooms in that crowd...
Ummm Kathy? You mean really good mushrooms, don't you? they'd have to be to get people to act like that.
And Wendy, I want to go see real interpretive dance someday. I hear people joke about it all the time. . . but I have yet to see it.
Helen, make your husband follow you and do some super-market salsa dancing. Do it now!! :D
I think that was filmed (yes, filmed) at the Wadena Rock Festival (aka Iowa Woodstock) 40 years ago this week. I recognized my hair and my moves. Oh, the age of Aquarius....
