I did have the grace to not sent postcards from our honeymoon in Hawaii saying "Glad you're not here....." to people. That would have been tacky. You guys are unmerciful. My brother did it and there was only family, so that was okay, but I have a bunch of friends getting married this year that also want to do this. Why? I'm in the wedding party for two of them, which means that I will have two days taken up by preparation, rehearsals and the wedding, and now they want a third day so they can open their presents in front of me? I don't understand, and I'm not too interested.

Also, when you have a couple that you know has waited for their wedding night, you can't help but think "It was your wedding night last night" if you see them the next day. No thanks! If I ever get married, this will not be happening. Btw, what happens if you hate the gift that someone gave you, and that person is present? I'm not a very good actor.

Wow. Long comment. Clearly this issue touched a nerve. I need to go now. And maybe watch the Princess Bride.Catholic Mutthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10254315970336710941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4252781546680213977.post-34737535710464949532009-05-25T05:12:21.807-07:002009-05-25T05:12:21.807-07:00Candy - Whatever your plans are today, you need to...Candy - Whatever your plans are today, you need to make sure you go get that movie. It's just what the kids do now. The amount and quality of the gifts were insane. I never got that much stuff.

I have decided after 36 years I need to register again and get new stuff, so when you guys figure out when my bday is, you can send me new pans. Is it tacky to do that? Or do we need to renew our vows? Ron Burgundy would never go for a couples shower unless involved a weed whacker or a lawn edger. Or a new boat. Just sayin'

@Nick - I don't know what you're talking about - haven't seen the movie, remember?
